About the life in the School and in Japan
Can I do part time job?
Foreign students can also work part- time jobs under certain restrictions if the Immigration Bureau permits activities other than that permitted.
- The amount of work permitted per week is 28 hours.
- However, students can work for 40 hours per week during long school holidays such as summer vacation.
How much one month life expenses would cost about?
There are many expenses like rent, electricity, water, meals, telephone charges and so on, of course life expenses depend on each person, but the majority of people live with 70,000 ~ 80,000 yen per month.
What kind of part time jobs do currently-employed students work?
Students work part-time jobs to match their Japanese language ability. Many students work in factories or restaurants.
Do you have a dormitory?
School-designated dorms are located near the school. Students living in the school-designated dorms for six months after enrollment.
Is it necessarily required to live in a dorm?
As a general rule students enrolling in this school will live in the school-designated dorm (for a period of 6 months–in the case of October students, until March 31 of the year after the date of enrollment).
If you wish to live with family members who lives near the school, we ask cohabitants come to the school for an interview. In such cases, the family members will be asked to submit documentation proving their familial relationship with you. Furthermore, depending on the interview with the cohabitants, in some cases this school may not approve you live with cohabitants.
